Doing. Being. Becoming.

Written by

Which one mirrors you?

Or do you fit them all?

Doing is important, especially if you are responsible for a family, work a full-time job, and manage other responsibilities.

You want to be your best to do your best.

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?
Can that faith save him?
If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them,
“Go in peace, be warmed and filled,”
without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?
So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:14-17

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. James 4:17

Being is something that we often have to make conscious time for.

Because we typically do so much, being often takes lower priority.

When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches,
For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:6-8

Being requires making time to analyze yourself and reflect on what you’re doing.

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable,
if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things. Philippians 4:8

There are good reasons to just be, to sit and contemplate life and your existence.

Your past, present, and future experiences all matter to how you live your life today and in the future.

Becoming is a whole next level that you should contemplate.

What you are becoming might even be more important than doing and being.

The emphasis and attention you give to what you are becoming supports your life purpose.

What are you becoming?

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

If you’re Christ’s, you’re on your way in to something BIG!

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2

And if so, even better things are coming that will require you to participate. To do. And to be.

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9

Then there’s Belonging.

Goats in a Tree5

Think about your own sense of belonging.

To whom and where do you belong?

Who. What. Why. When. Where. How. How much.

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. Ephesians 4:11-20

Whatever your type, continue to become the best version of you!

Wherever you are. Whatever you do.

It’s exactly what your Creator and His Son need you to be to further their plan.

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of plagorism
or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of unique content I've either written myself or
outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission.
Do you know any ways to help stop content from being stolen?
    I'd definitely appreciate it.
