The Biggest Threat

Written by

What single word have you been hearing daily for the past weeks and months? It refers to an event that has put fear into many people throughout the world, from Africa to the United States.

According to the BBC, "The Ebola outbreak in West Africa is the world's deadliest to date and the World Health Organization has declared an international health emergency as more than 3,850 people have died of the virus in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria this year." It is reported that the disease infects humans through close contact with infected animals, and then spreads from human to human by direct contact with infected blood, bodily fluids or organs, or indirectly through contact with contaminated environments. [1]

If you look at the outbreaks reported on the maps, it appears to be a serious threat. Can we believe everything that is reported in mainstream media about the Ebola outbreak? Could Ebola truly be the greatest threat to people on planet Earth right now?

Reporters say that washing hands and improving hygiene is one of the best ways to fight the virus, and that people who care for others with Ebola should wear gloves and protective equipment, such as masks, and wash their hands regularly.

Are we missing a potential opportunity in all of this? If you look at the writings of Naomi Klein in The Shock Doctrine, you might not be surprised to learn that from time to time, people and companies have caused events to occur so that they can benefit from them. These types of events cause companies to sway the masses and make millions and billions of dollars. [3]

Think about what’s involved in handling the Ebola crisis. Hospitals are taking precautions to protect staff as they must handle patients who have been identified positive for Ebola. This means more training, more materials, more protective gear, the development of vaccines, and so on. For example, an Ebola vaccine largely developed at a federal laboratory in Montana is close to human testing, according to the lead researcher on the project. Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana, is the only Biolevel-4 facility in the region. It's one of just a handful of high-level facilities in the United States. [4]

"The cure for future outbreaks of the deadly Ebola virus could one day come from our own backyard." "What needs to happen now is these approaches need to be moved into humans, and what that means is we need to produce a quality product that then can be applied to humans - what you're looking for is volunteers, small numbers who get those products and you would basically monitor them for adverse effects of the product," Feldmann explained. That process could take another year, and we could see potentially a vaccine to come out of this study, in under 10 years. [5]

Pestilences have come and gone for years. We also know that laboratories store certain viruses for years after they have gone extinct. Some laboratories or companies gather diseases such as Ebola from people who have caught the virus, and then patent them. The Center for Disease control (CDC) owns a patent on the Ebola invention. [6] You can find the patent details here: http://www.google.com/patents/CA2741523A1?cl=en.

Some sources report that the Ebola infection can cause a 70% to 90% death rate [5]. But what does the Bible say that might help us find comfort in times of global shock and fear such as this? Proverbs 29:25 says, "The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe." (ESV)

Read also Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (ESV)

We should not fear what occurs on the Earth, nor in the time of man’s reign upon it. Read Psalm 91:1-16, which encourages us all who love Almighty God and his Son Jesus Christ, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day."

The Day of Judgment is coming upon everyone who oppresses mankind and hurts the earth and the people on it will answer for their actions. "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." (Romans 12:12). Also read Revelation 11:18.

Hey this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to
manually code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.

Any help would be enormously appreciated!

You actually make it seem so easy together with your presentation however I in finding this matter to
be actually something that I believe I'd by no means understand.

It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
I'm looking ahead for your next publish, I will try to get the hold of
    it!
